Goodwill Southern California is seeking a dynamic Director, Integrated Marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic, mission-driven leader who will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that unite Goodwill Southern California’s (GSC) three core pillars — Retail, Mission Services, and Philanthropy — under a cohesive brand voice.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will lead a team of marketing professionals and agency partners to deliver omnichannel campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive retail sales and donations, amplify mission impact, and inspire community giving.
What you will do:
Integrated Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and oversee an integrated marketing strategy that aligns and connects retail, mission, and philanthropy objectives under one unified brand narrative.
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration to ensure marketing initiatives advance organizational goals and maximize ROI.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team across creative, digital, communications, and field marketing.
- Build annual marketing plans and calendars with measurable goals tied to revenue growth, donor engagement, and mission awareness.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, driving ideation, alignment, and seamless execution across all teams.
Retail Marketing
- Develop and execute campaigns that increase store traffic, conversion, and loyalty across GSC’s 80+ retail stores and e-commerce platforms.
- Support seasonal promotions, store grand openings, and community donation drives with omnichannel amplification (digital, OOH, PR, in-store).
- Use analytics and market insights to optimize customer segmentation, creative messaging, and media investment.
- Conduct regular store visits, walkthroughs, and competitive shop reviews to inform strategic retail marketing decisions.
Mission Services & Storytelling
- Partner with Workforce Development and Communications teams to highlight GSC’s social impact through storytelling, content series, and press campaigns.
- Showcase success stories and outcomes to strengthen awareness of GSC’s employment programs and community services.
- Develop strategic partnerships and awareness campaigns that position Goodwill as a leading advocate for inclusive employment and sustainability.
- Conduct regular visits to Workforce & Career Centers, training sites, and employer partner locations to assess program visibility and ensure marketing aligns with participant needs.
Philanthropy & Donor Marketing
- Collaborate with Development and Foundation teams to create campaigns that grow donor engagement and fundraising outcomes.
- Craft emotionally resonant storytelling that connects giving to tangible community outcomes.
- Develop marketing collateral, digital assets, and event campaigns that support major gifts, corporate partnerships, and annual appeals.
Performance, Insights & Innovation
- Oversee marketing analytics, dashboards, and KPIs across all channels, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Manage the marketing budget, agency relationships, and vendor contracts with an emphasis on efficiency and impact.
- Stay ahead of trends in retail, cause marketing, and digital engagement to keep GSC’s marketing programs modern and effective
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
- 8–10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in multi-location retail, nonprofit, or hybrid organizations.
- Proven track record in integrated marketing campaign development, digital strategy, and brand storytelling.
- Strong understanding of analytics platforms (GA4, CRM, HubSpot, social insights) and performance reporting.
- Exceptional collaboration skills and experience aligning diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Passion for mission-driven work and a deep commitment to advancing social impact and community well-being.
- This position requires travel <50% of the time. A valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance are necessary. Driving record must be acceptable to company’s vendor.

The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $143,000.
