Primary Responsibility / Summary

Provides support and maintenance of the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and other related systems. Acting as the technical point-of-contact and subject matter expert to the organization by ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data for process improvement opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  1. Provides day-to-day HRIS support to Human Resources and the organization in HRIS (Dayforce HCM) including import loads, record maintenance, security and audit reporting.
  2. Takes lead on configuration changes for HRIS system, understanding and linking data table structures, and how to link with reporting. Researches, tests and takes ownership of system changes in a production environment. Partners with HR leadership team to ensure proper change management of anticipated system updates.
  3. Provides technical assistance to senior-level HR staff and management on several HR programs to include employee relations, engagement, compensation, EEO compliance, company policies and procedures, disability programs, Federal and State employment laws, and personnel actions as needed.
  4. Writes, maintains and supports a variety of system reports for on-going customer needs.
  5. Maintains HRIS system data integrity through audits; processes personnel actions (hires, terminations, pay and title changes, promotions, talent status, etc.).
  6. Serves as technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, querying and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Serves as a systems liaison with other departments and process stakeholders.
  7. Assists in the development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation for HR related systems and other business systems which link or could link to HR system and or data. Trains system users on new processes/functionality.
  8. Evaluates current business and internal processes, identifies improvement opportunities, and recommends and implements system initiatives in support of the company’s strategic objectives. Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions and policy changes.
  9. Ensures services are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements related to recordkeeping and reporting.  Provides data and reports to government and other funding agencies as required on a timely manner.
  10. Provides HR tools and resources for management and staff to accomplish their goals and objectives.
  11. Assists with special HR-related projects and provides training to other staff members as assigned. 

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of HRIS system configuration and administration, systems analysis and research methods, and human resource functions.
  • Excellent research and process improvement skills.
  • Proven ability to understand data table structures, and how to link with reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office to include advanced Excel capabilities (formulas, pivot tables, macros) to include proficiency in spreadsheet analysis; intermediate Word skills (mail merge), intermediate PowerPoint skills. 
  • Basic SQL report writing skills required. Strong technical aptitude required.
  • Knowledge of file feeds, and trouble-shooting in a Payroll/HRIS SaaS system required.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail, effective communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented confidential environment. Strong focus on confidentiality is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience required.
