','jobDescription':'Goodwill SoCal seeks a temporary IT Field Technician to provide onsite support for our Point of Sale Systems at our retail stores. This position supports the Senior IT Technician in replacing POS registers including monitors, keyboards, printers, software applications and all other POS related accessories. This position requires daily travel with a Senior IT Technician from Goodwill SoCal’s Los Angeles Campus to Goodwill SoCal’s retail locations. This is a temporary, one month assignment with an expected start date of Monday, November 24. Job days and hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Primary Duties
- Install, configure, and upgrade POS registers including monitors, keyboards, printers, software applications and all other POS related accessories.
- Communicate effectively with all necessary team members to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for position, function, and the company.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Senior IT Technician.
- Travel daily with Senior IT Technician to Goodwill SoCal retail locations.
Education & Experience
- Experience with unplugging cables and dismantling equipment required.
- Basic IT knowledge preferred.
- Must be able to carry and load equipment into a company car.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Maintains punctual and predictable attendance.
