Primary Responsibility / Summary

Performs a full range of custodial services at Goodwill facilities and drives company vehicle to job sites. Goodwill Southern California greatly values our employees’ health and well-being.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Performs daily cleaning tasks as assigned, including floor stripping and waxing, window washing, pressure washing and restroom cleaning.

2. Drives company vehicle to job sites, transporting crew and equipment.

3. Maintains clean and sanitary conditions throughout.

4. Maintains custodial equipment and supplies in neat, orderly condition.

5. Interacts cooperatively with Goodwill staff and customers.

6. Immediately advises supervisor when Goodwill staff members direct changes in contract requirements.

English Language Skills

•Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

•Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Qualifications

• Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance. Required to travel several times per month (25% to 50% of the time).

• Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Punctual and dependable attendance.

• Free from alcohol and drug abuse.

• Understands the basic philosophy of Goodwill and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
