Primary Responsibility / Summary

Responsible for outreach, assessment, development of individual employment plans and the removal of varying barriers to employment. Also responsible for working with Job Placement Specialists to establish a pipeline of candidates to fulfill hiring work orders.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assists clients with gaining independence through life skills (financial management, employment, education, accessing social services, legal issues, housing, healthcare, personal hygiene and coping) through connection with partner agencies.
2. Coordinates across departments, agencies, partners and providers to resolve issues related to health and housing that jeopardize stability
3. Provides classroom instruction to groups and individuals on job seeking skills and techniques, motivation, resume preparation, application completion, job retention and Internet use for job search.
4. Provides participants with work skills assessments that will enhance their ability to find appropriate employment.
5. Works with local employers and participants in developing and identifying appropriate jobs and helping participants gain meaningful employment. Assists in reasonable accommodation process with prospective employers.
6. Maintains detailed electronic and hard copy case records according to founder and/or Company requirements. Completes all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Achieves enrollment and placement goals, and conducts timely follow‐up with all participants on caseload.
8. Meets with CQI team to assist with implementation strategies for continuous quality improvement.


Additional Duties & Responsibilities

1. This position may require extensive travel (>50% of the time.) A valid CA driver's license and state‐required auto insurance required. Driving record must be acceptable by the organization’s insurance vendor.
2. Other duties and special projects as assigned.



Education & Experience

 Minimum of 2 years of Case Management experience.
 Bachelor's degree from four‐year college or university in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field preferred; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.


Other Qualifications

 Possesses a valid driver's license and state‐required auto insurance.
 This position may require some travel.
 Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.
 Ability to handle confidential information.
 Ability to work with minimal supervision.
 Non‐profit experience preferred.
 Experience serving persons with disabilities; ADA knowledge preferred.
 Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
 Punctual and dependable attendance.
 Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
 Understands the basic philosophy of Goodwill and participates fully in carrying out its mission.
