Goodwill Southern California has an immediate opening for a Coordinator to support our Absence Management team.  The Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support within a highly collaborative environment. This role supports the day to day functions for the department and provides instruction, guidance and excellent customer service to Goodwill’s employees. This is a temporary, three month position.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Greets incoming employees and serves as the front line customer service representative.
  • Monitors department fax and email for newly received medical notes and updates.
  • Maintains and updates master department Absence spreadsheet.
  • Provides information and guidance to employees regarding leave policies.
  • Assists employees with completing required forms and documents.
  • Tracks and maintains documentation; Uploads documents to personnel files.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests professionally.
  • Performs claim, leave and accommodation reporting as directed.
  • Prepares and edits correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.

    Education & Experience

  • 1 - 2 years of administrative support experience required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State leave related regulations including FMLA, ADA, FEHA and HIPAA, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Shift flexibility and overtime when needed.
  • Ability to handle confidential information. 
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
  • Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
